Both these units incorporate several advances in infection control and contain two bacterially controlled nursing units.

Hemisphere acted as the commissioning agent for the East Penthouse facility. The East Penthouse accommodates the Class 1 redundant air system for this 840 bed acute care and teaching hospital.

Dynacare Kasper Medical Laboratories, which performs 95% of all medical test analysis in northern Alberta, and Northwest Territories, relocated its central laboratory and administration offices to an existing retail space in downtown Edmonton, Manulife Phase II.
