Hemisphere Engineering is providing commissioning services for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratory in Atlanta, GA. This new containment laboratory facility includes 19,000 ft2 of critical BSL4 suit laboratory and BSL2 laboratories and animal facilities; BSL3 laboratories and animal facilities.
Lab section of the facility operates under graduated levels of containment to restrict outside exposure to biological material and lab processes, or to isolate those materials and processes from outside contamination. Hemisphere is responsible for the commissioning of the high containment systems and rooms for this project.
