National Bioforensic Analysis Center (Fort Detrick)
Hemisphere Engineering has provided recommissioning site analysis for the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, B-1 Laboratory Suite. This is an existing 2700 sf. BSL3 enhanced laboratory suite prior to renovation for a new program. The enhancements include: HEPA filtered exhaust, high efficiency filtered supply, double door autoclave, liquid effluent treatment, and personnel showers.
Hemisphere Engineering was responsible for a detailed review, analysis, and report of the existing conditions of the facility as it relates to the BMBL Level Guidelines. This information was used for the renovations required to operate the lab under the new program.
