Southern Research Institute
Hemisphere Engineering has provided recommissioning site analysis for the Southern Research Institute in Birmingham, Alabama and Frederick, Maryland. This is an existing BSL3 laboratory suite prior to renovation for a new program. The enhancements include: HEPA exhaust filters, double door autoclaves and personnel showers.
Hemisphere Engineering was responsible for a detailed review, analysis, systems testing and report of the existing conditions of the facility as it relates to the BMBL Level Guidelines. This information was used for the renovations required to operate the lab under the new program.
