Cardel Place
The Center incorporates two public ice skating / hockey rinks, associated team change and shower rooms, three gymnasia, a major aquatic facility with associated change and shower rooms, therapy / fitness program areas, a public library, tenant rental space, and administrative public spaces.
Cardel Place was constructed to meet a “green building” agenda. The result is a building design that exceeded the energy performance by 36% as defined by the Model National Energy Code, and conventional recreational buildings by an even wider margin. This is accomplished without compromising quality, occupant comfort, or function. Submitted for LEED Silver certification and received LEED Gold. First LEED Gold certified project in Alberta.
