Agri Food Discovery Place
Agri-Foods Discovery Place is located on the University of Alberta Farm. This unique facility consists of two research areas:
- Meat Safety Processing (Bio-safety Level 2 area) with hot and cold processing areas, smokehouse, packaging and display areas.
- The second research area is Crop Utilization which encompasses wet and dry laboratories, including a dry processing area for pre-pilot primary processing of grain crops, wet processing area and a solvent extraction area.
Completed in 2006 at a cost of $15M.
