U of Alberta Center for Interdisciplinary Science-Phase II (CCIS)

CCIS Phase 2 was the consolidation of several departments of the U of A’s Faculty of Science.  The project was designed for LEED Silver certification.  Total area - 52,248 m2.

The program  includes wet laboratories, characterization suites, classrooms, lecture theatres, offices/administration support space.  The building  interfaces with the existing Biological Sciences and Chemistry Buildings on the U of A campus and is designed as a “signature building”.

Completed in 2009 at a construction Value of approximately  $218M.
